Testing finishes up in Lordship today at Lordship Race Park today!
AT LORDSHIP - CT. The final post-season test sessions wrapped up today, with Brian Jakabcin setting
the fastest time of the session aboard his Bravo X-9 at the latter part of the day Sunday evening. Mike Halverson posted a
very fast time as well at the session. Riders said that contracts are still being determined and that official 2007 team
sponsors will not be announced until next January. Brian Jakabcin said that he will not be in terms with any major sponsorship carriers
until November, when his contract with Telefonica expires, despite a very hefty offering from Minolta Razor. Franklin
Warde is said to be looking elsewhere for contract extensions, after being dropped by the Factory
Razor team after a poor 2006 debut. Mike Halverson said that he is in talks with Sony for a backing in 2007, with brother
Paul Halverson. Ryan Holloway will remain with the Factory Razor team in 2007. Johnny Smith said that he will most likely
be signing with Minolta or Team Green. Rumors have it that there will possibly be a Subway, Dunkin Donuts, and Sikorsky AirCraft
team as well in the runnings for 2007. No team information or rules/regulation info will
be disclosed until November 15, 2006, for the first of three official conferences with league officials & riders for next
season.
